Saturday Poll: What is Your Favorite Book-to-Movie Adaptation?

This poll is for middle grade/YA books made into movies. Otherwise I’d have to list ALL of Jane Austin’s works, because they are my absolute favorite. Oh, and the BBC version of Jane Eyre!

And thanks to everyone who gave me excellent advice. My son is feeling a little better, although he has a cough now. unfortunately, now I’m sick! Oh well, I’d much rather it be me!

  1. This is a tough one! So many books-to-movies for this age range have weird budgets of campy acting – Harry Potter had some of the best all around (budget, stage, cast, directors, etc .etc. etc.) so its hard not to pick it! Otherwise I really also like Stardust 🙂

  2. Was a toss up between Harry Potter and Of Mice and Men. The latter really did it for me, could feel George and Lenny shining through the actors who played them and it made me cry – just like the book. Then again so did Kes, the adaptation of A Knave for a Kestrel :o)
